About Me

My name is Daniel Colter Hall. and I am I lifelong dinosaur lover, fossil enthusiast, amateur paleontologist, and most recently, freelance fossil preparator living in Montana one of the greatest places in the world for dinosaur-lovers to grow up. I have collected fossils in numerous locations across the western US, including the Green River Formation in Wyoming, the Bearpaw Shale in Montana, and the world-famous Hell Creek Formation of Montana. I have been educated in fossil preparation at the Judith River Dinosaur Institute in Billings Montana, and I've accumulated years' worth of knowledge on topics related to paleontology, including fossil prep, paleobiology, dinosaur phylogeny, identification of fake fossils, and many more topics besides. I feel most comfortable and fulfilled when practicing paleontology, and I feel privileged to possess the skills necessary to unearth, restore, and preserve the last surviving remnants of life's ancient past.
